We currently have four crews, plus partner agencies including Network Rail and West Yorkshire Police at the scene of a scrapyard fire on Station Yard in Dewsbury. Approximately 10 cars are on fire.

We are asking all local residents to keep doors and windows closed due to a large plume of smoke.

Firefighters are currently dealing with a derelict building fire in the Barkerend Road area of Bradford.

Crews from four stations are using large jets, breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish the flames.

Firefighters are currently dealing with a wildfire in the Cold Edge Road area of Halifax.

Local residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed and avoid the area where possible for safety.

Five appliances are in attendance and specialist wildfire equipment is in use. 

4 fire engines have been dealing with an area of 100m x 100m of grassland on fire in the Northowram area of Halifax. They used 2 large jets to extinguish the fire to stop it spreading further.

2 storey property, bedroom involved. 1 hose reel and 2 breathing apparatus used.

Smoke detection installed and working.

2 appliances from Bradford and 1 from Odsal attended.

This was a garden waste fire that had spread to a garage and car. Flammable cylinders were also in the garage.

No persons or injuries have been reported.
