Small fire involving wheelie bins to the rear of the property that had spread to kitchen of a two-storey semi-detached house.  4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels used to extinguish fire, positive pressure ventilation fan used to clear smoke.  Incident was initially treated as persons reported, but crews confirmed no persons were involved.

Domestic Persons- On arrival crews rescued 1 male from property. 1 Hose reel, 2 Breathing apparatus used. Casualty taken to hospital via ambulance. 

Headquarters

Oakroyd Hall is the the Headquarters of the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Oakroyd Hall was built in 1867 on what was the Halfway House Colliery. The house was occupied by several families until it was taken over by West Riding Council in 1947, when the premises were put to use as a home for children who had to be taken into care.

 

We were called at 00.32 on 16/01/24 to reports of a building fire at Airedale Park in Keighley.

Crews from Keighley, Bingley and Shipley attended and found a fire involving a large commercial skip containing combustible plastic foam. 

Initially two breathing apparatus and two hose reels were used. 

A two pump water shuttle was then put in place to put out the fire.

 

House fire, incident was made persons on arrival of first appliance. Living room involved, 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation used. No persons were involved.

Smoke detectors installed but not working.

Appliances from Wakefield, Ossett and Dewsbury attended.

1 car involved in road traffic collision. 2 casualties, one walking wounded and one casualty trapped and extricated by Fire Service personnel and both left in care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
