West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority is committed to the principle of equal opportunities and equal treatment for all employees, regardless of the protected characteristics they share or their personal circumstances.
The employees of West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are represented by three independent trade unions/representative bodies – Fire Brigades Union (FBU), Fire Officers Association (FOA) and Unison.
Four Year Efficiency Plan
As part of the 2016/2017 local government finance settlement the government provided details of the draft four year settlement which authorities could secure through the publication of a four year efficiency plan.
Land and Assets
As part of the Communities & Local Government published Code of Practice on Data Transparency, the Authority is required to make available details of the location of public land and building assets and key attribute information that is normally recorded on our asset register.
For tax payer and supplier interest and in compliance with Government requirements WYFRA publishes the following information on a rolling quarterly basis:
- Expenditure over £500
- Purchases undertaken using a purchasing card

Details relating to senior staff salaries, pay scales, pay multiples and organisation chart.
