WYFRS firefighters outside Morley Town Hall

West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) colleagues - joined by friends and family - will take to the streets of Morley for the volunteer-led, not-for-profit Morley 10k,

incident proved to be 1 vehicle on it's roof with 1 male trapped. 

The casualty was extricated by fire crews and placed into the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Crews made the scene safe and handed over to West Yorkshire Police.

Building approximately 10m x 20m with 60% involved in fire. 4 breathing apparatus and 3 hose reel jets were used to extinguish fire.

Reports of a garage fire spread to adjoining domestic property.  Garage 100% involved in fire.  4 breathing apparatus, 3 hose reels and a high powered fan used to extinguish the fire.  No persons involved. Fire Investigation in progress to ascertain cause of fire.  Crew from Littleborough also attended.

Domestic property, reports of house explosion with no fire, 2 casualties walking wounded in care of paramedics, further casualties are unaccounted for, the technical rescue unit and the urban search and rescue dog are attending to carry out further searches.

At 01:25 on 9 September 2025, fifteen fire engines from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident on Bacup Road, Todmorden. The fire involved a commercial building. There is a significant smoke plume so please keep windows and doors closed. A road closure is in place on Bacup Road, please find alternative routes. Crews remain in attendance.

We currently have ten pumps and two aerial appliances in attendance at a vehicle fire on the the Euroways Trading Estate in Bradford.

Residents in the local area, particularly to the north/north east of the site around West Bowling and Bierley should keep all doors and windows closed.

Highways England have closed the M606 due to smoke and Rock Hill Lane is also closed.

Please avoid the area if possible.

Domestic property fire, ground floor 50% involved. 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel used.  Proved to be a derelict property with no casualties involved.

Shed fire spread to flat, crews used 6 breathing apparatus, 3 hose reels, 1 large jet and and high powered fan to clear the smoke.  No casualties involved.
