Firefighters from Wakefield, Ossett and Normanton Fire Stations responded to a report of a bedroom fire on the second floor of a three-storey domestic property. Firefighters used 2 breathing apparatus and 1hose reel to extinguish the fire. Smoke detection was fitted and actuated.
Fire on balcony of flat on 5th floor. 2 breathing apparatus and 1 jet used. Ambulance requested for 1 male casualty aged approx. 63 years suffering smoke inhalation.
Incident now closed.
Building approx. 10m x 10m. Office and garage area 100% involved. 1 large jet, 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus used.
Appliances from Odsal, Bradford x 2 and aerial from Huddersfield attended.
Single vehicle road traffic collision with 1 casualty involved. Casualty was extricated from vehicle by fire crews and handed to Yorkshire Ambulance Service
Crews attended a swan stuck in undergrowth on a rail embankment - Crews effected rescue of the swan by cutting metal fence to access rail line. Swan was taken to vet by fire service personnel. RSPCA made aware of incident.
