Rothwell Fire Station
Rothwell Fire Station, which has recently been re-built, is located on Carlton Lane. The previous 1963 station building was demolished in 2014 and a brand new facility was built on the same site. The new single storey building was completed in the summer of 2015 with an official opening held on 16th July 2015.
The station protects the area of Rothwell and locations of Thorpe, Robin Hood, John O’Gaunts, Oulton, Woodlesford, Methley, Lofthouse, Mickletown, Stourton, Carlton and Lee. The station is a dedicated technical water rescue station.
The team is made up of a Watch Manager, Crew Managers and operational Firefighters who work a day crewed shift pattern. Firefighters provide emergency response throughout the day from station and then provide cover from home during the evening with all staff living in close proximity to the station, providing 24 hour cover, 365 days a year.
