Applications are invited for a Specialist Fire Investigation Officer (Watch Manager) to work as part of the Fire Investigation Team and working on the Flexi Duty System.
The Fire Investigation Team are currently based at Stanningley Fire Station, Stanningley Road, Stanningley, Leeds, LS28 6FS.
In addition to the role of fire investigator, team members are responsible for training, assessment and quality control of Level 1 Fire Investigations at Watch Manager level.
Working arrangements reflect the five-week rota FDS duty system for which a 20% pensionable allowance is payable. The successful applicant will be required to provide an address within the West Yorkshire boundary whilst on-call.
A vehicle is available in line with the current FDS vehicle policy
In addition to other requirements all applicants must meet the following criteria;
Essential
-
Be a substantive, competent Watch Manager
-
Possess a substantial and wide range of practical experience of emergency operations as an Incident Commander

Hold and maintain a current category B driving licence
-
Have no current disciplinary awards.

Demonstrates effectiveness in their current role (as per Annual Review).
