You can help West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service by providing essential administrative support to the Operational Risk Management Team. Your work will contribute directly to the smooth running of the team and help maintain the high standards expected across the organisation.

Job Purpose: Your role will involve analysing and processing information through databases, spreadsheets, and various software applications. You will handle enquiries from internal and external parties and provide support to managers to maintain high‑quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities: You will support the implementation of risk management policies and procedures across West Yorkshire in line with the requirements of the FRS Act 2004, Section 7.2.D, contributing to the enhancement of risk information systems and ensuring effective dissemination of risk-related data. You will organise training sessions, briefings and departmental meetings including taking accurate minutes. You will also provide guidance on risk information gathering and recording processes, ensuring consistent and accurate data collection across all levels.
Essential requirements:

Experience of database administration.

Technical experience and specialist knowledge on the use and function of databases and IT applications.

Experience and use of MS Office and other IT applications to proficient level of efficiency.

Ability to solve a variety of work-related problems.

Experience working to meet deadlines with conflicting demands.

Experience adapting and configuring information to meet the needs of the organisation.

Clerical experience
We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working subject to managerial requirements. Whilst you will be required to work from our offices for parts of your initial training, after this you’ll work both in the office and from home as part of our ‘hybrid’ working model.
