Job Purpose: You’ll ensure the effective delivery and management of data analysis and reporting services, focusing on developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, analysing organisational data and supporting decision-making processes, making sure our teams have the information they need to protect communities and save lives. Your insights will help us achieve our objectives and support departments across the Authority.
Key Responsibilities: You’ll use your technical skills to design and build dashboards, but you’ll also analyse trends, spot opportunities and turn complex information into clear, actionable insights. You’ll work closely with colleagues to understand their needs, ensure data quality and compliance and provide advice and support on data tools and reporting. This is a role for someone who enjoys both developing solutions and interpreting data.
Essential requirements:
- Strong technical experience in data development and reporting tools (Power BI, SQL, etc.)
- Proven ability to create and optimise dashboards and utilise databases
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for data quality
- Effective communicator who can explain complex ideas simply
- Commitment to good data quality, equality & diversity and WYFRS values

We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working. Whilst you will be required to work from our offices for parts of your initial training, after this you’ll work both in the office and from home as part of our ‘hybrid’ working model.
