Technical Rescue Unit

Building fire, 15 metres by 15 metres, 20 per cent involved in fire. Incident was made pumps 5 and aerials 1 on arrival. Crews have used 2 hose reels, 4 breathing apparatus, 2 jets and high powered fans to clear smoke from building. Technical Rescue Unit was requested or Building Softening but was not required. Incident has now been scaled back to 3 pumps

Road Traffic Collision involving a car and a large goods vehicle. 1 male casualty trapped in car, casualty was released by fire service personnel and then transported to hospital by ambulance.

Report of car that had collided with building with person trapped in car. On arrival 1 male was trapped in car, released by fire service personnel and then transported to hospital by ambulance. The building was also evacuated whilst building was checked for structural damage.

Road traffic collision with report of 1 car involved and on its roof. On arrival 1 female and 1 child were trapped, both casualties released by fire service personnel and then transported to hospital by ambulance.

One large lorry overturned with one person trapped.  Casualty extricated by fire service and dealt with by Yorkshire Ambulance Service

Male fallen from road down steep banking. 1 crew in water administering first aid to casualty, technical rescue team used line rescue system to remove casualty from water to land to be treated by waiting Ambulance crews on scene.

Appliances from Mytholmroyd, Todmorden, Halifax and tech rescue team from Cleckheaton attended.

Report of a chimney that had collapsed internally into a domestic property with reports that persons were possibly trapped inside. On arrival it was found that no persons were trapped, however 1 male occupant had been struck by falling debris and ambulance was requested to treat him for a head injury. Local authority structural engineer was requested to attend to check damage to the building.

*** Update at 2215*** Incident is now reduced to 1 fire appliance

 

Make pumps 8 - Fire in industrial premise - Building 100m x 50m, fire located in rubbish machine inside building, crews have used 5 breathing apparatus, 2 jets, 2 hose reels and a high powered fan to clear smoke from the building. Crews being assisted by works personnel to turn over rubbish involved using a heavy duty plant digger. 2 casualties have suffered smoke inhalation and have been treated by ambulance crews - incident is currently in process of being reduced to 4 pumps
