Our response overnight has dropped down to four crews in attendance.
They will be replaced with relief crews shortly who then will remain at the site today to continue to tackle the fire and check for further hotspots.
Description:
We currently have eight fire engines and one aerial ladder platform at a large fire at a scrapyard in Knowsthorpe Road in Leeds. Firefighters are working to bring the blaze under control.
All residents in the area around the site are being asked to keep doors and windows closed due to a large smoke plume. Please avoid the area.
