Are you:
Organised, proactive, an accomplished administrator who enjoys providing excellent support, coordinating information and helping a busy team work effectively?
A great opportunity has arisen to join West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service as a PAIT Administrator, providing comprehensive administrative support to the Prevention Department.
The role:
Helping ensure the department operates efficiently by managing correspondence, coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, collating information and maintaining accurate records. Helping administer the Prevention Department’s homepage, ensuring information remains current, relevant and accessible.
You will support stock management and budget monitoring and provide administrative assistance to colleagues across the organisation in the delivery of prevention activity. The role will involve communicating with internal colleagues, partner organisations, community groups and members of the public, so a professional and helpful approach is essential.
We are looking for someone with previous office administration experience who can communicate effectively with a wide range of people. You will be self-motivated, organised and able to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Experience or knowledge of accurate data handling, confidentiality and data protection requirements will be important. Above all, you will be committed to providing a high-quality service and supporting the effective delivery of prevention work across West Yorkshire.
If you are an experienced administrator looking for a varied role where your work will support prevention activity and safer communities, we would be delighted to hear from you.
In return, you’ll be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team where your skills will directly contribute to prevention, partnership working and community safety across West Yorkshire.
We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working. Whilst you will be required to work from our offices for parts of your initial training, after this you’ll work both in the office and from home as part of our ‘hybrid’ working model. Therefore, applicants must have a reliable home internet connection.
Joining a first-rate organisation, you will have the job satisfaction of knowing each day that you are contributing to the success of one of just six metropolitan fire and rescue services in the UK, supporting around 950 firefighters who work round the clock, plus around 300 support staff, who help people and save lives.
We are a caring organisation, promote an environment of inclusivity and learning and welcome people from all walks of life who can show commitment to our values such as integrity and teamwork.
If you are passionate about learning, prevention and helping communities stay safer, we would welcome your application.
The post is subject to a Standard Disclosure & Barring Service check and the possession of a full valid driving licence and/or ability to travel within West Yorkshire.
