The suspected wildfire at Marsden Clough has now finished. 

8 crews and the wildfire unit remain at the scene at Blackstone Edge. 

We are asking all members of the public to continue the to avoid the area. 

Description:

We are currently attending two further moorland fires on Marsden Moor. Locations are, Blackstone Edge and Marsden Clough (west of reservoir, between Dean Clough and Marsden Clough known as Goodbent) area.  

7 crews and specialist wildfire support are on scene, across the two wildfires. 5 at the scene of Marsden Clough and 2 at Blackstone Edge. 

We are asking all members of the public to stay away from Marsden Moors. Anyone currently on the moors is advised to leave the area.
