Firefighters attended an automatic fire alarm reported by an alarm monitoring company and, on arrival, made an urgent request for two additional fire engines after confirming a flat fire.
The building consists of three floors and measures approximately 50m x 30m. The fire involved an electric radiator located in the front room of a first floor flat. Firefighters used 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. One casualty with smoke inhalation was handed into the care of Yorkshire Ambulance Service for a precautionary assessment.
