Derelict Building Fire - Scaitcliffe Hall, Todmorden
Crews have remained on scene through the night damping down and monitoring hotspots.
Crews are currently using 2 hose reels and will remain present this morning.
The derelict hotel building consists of 3 floors and measures approx. 40m x 20m.
Fire has affected 100% of the 2nd floor and the roof.
Crews have used 3 large jets and a ground monitor to bring the fire under control and the incident has now scaled back to 4 fire engines with many of the supporting appliances and officers returning from the incident too.
Five fire engines are currently in attendance at a fire involving a derelict building in Todmorden (Scaitcliffe Hall, OL14).
Due to smoke in the area, residents nearby are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
We are also asking members of the public to avoid the area where possible while crews continue to deal with the incident.
