Derelict Building Fire - Lupset, Wakefield Area

Firefighters from Wakefield and Dewsbury responded to the report of a fire in a derelict school building. Due to the number of emergency calls being received a further two fire engines from Dewsbury and Ossett were also sent.  On arrival it was confirmed this was derelict building fire 100 percent involved.  The building measured approximately 15m x 15m.  Firefighters initially used 3 large jets and 1 large jet to tackle the fire.

23:44hrs - Firefighters remain on scene dealing with smouldering and on fire roofing materials amongst the debris and are using 1 large jet to dampen down.
