Building Fire - Sheepscar, Leeds Area

Fire engines from Leeds, Killingbeck and Hunslet fire stations and an aerial appliance from Bradford responded to the report of a fire on the ground floor of a hotel.

On arrival firefighters confirmed this was a laundry basket on fire in the kitchen area and used 4 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels to extinguish the fire, and a high-power ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the building.  The fire alarm had alerted staff and a full building evacuation was carried out.
