2 fire engines & an aerial appliance will remain on site all day at Queens Rd, Kings Cross.

The demolition of the site will begin today & continue over the coming days. You may notice an increase of smoke & dust in the area. 

Road closures are in place so please avoid travelling into the area.

3 fire engines, 2 aerial appliances & a CLM vehicles remain on site at Queens Rd, Kings Cross.

Crews from Halifax, Leeds, Dewsbury & Huddersfield are in attendance.

Road closures are in place so please avoid travelling into the area. 

Update 19:00 | Halifax

8 fire appliances and 2 aerial ladder platforms remain at the scene.

There's a large presence at the incident so please do not visit or travel into the area.

Keep doors/windows closed.

Crews are working with partner agencies including West Yorkshire Police, Environment Agency, Yorkshire Water and Calderdale Council.

We are currently dealing with a large building fire in the King Cross area of Halifax. Residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed. Crews from across the brigade are in attendance.
