On July 14, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) will once again be hosting the Emergency Services Show at its headquarters in Birkenshaw.
The show brings together the county’s Blue Light services for a day of fun, food and thrills.
Crowds will get the chance to see a number of demonstrations whilst also picking up some essential advice about how to keep themselves and their families safe.
WYFRS will have a whole host of specialist appliances and equipment on display so you can see what life as a firefighter is really like!
This year there will be plenty of activities for people of all ages to enjoy including: various fire service demonstrations, the Fire Service Band, donkey rides, a variety of stalls, Police and Ambulance crews and much more!
Even Little Freddie the mini fire engine will be there to entertain little ones.
You won’t want to miss it!
Chief Fire Officer John Roberts said: “This event is a huge success year on year and we are excited to welcome the public back for what promises to be another fantastic Emergency Services Show.
“Not only does it give the public an insight into the various roles and specialisms of the emergency services, it also raises money for some very worthwhile charities.
“Also, thank you to all the organisers and supporters for their hard work and dedication!”
The proceeds of this year’s event will go to The Firefighters Charity and St. Gemma’s Hospice.
