Local Pension Board

Delegated Powers

The Authority’s Local Pension Board was established on 1 April 2015 in accordance with statutory requirements set out in the Public Service Pensions Act 2013.

The Board will be responsible for ensuring that good standards of governance are achieved and maintained in the implementation and application of the Firefighters’ Pension Schemes.  A copy of the Board’s latest Annual Report can be found by clicking on the relevant tab below.

The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority Local Pension Board comprises six members: 3 Scheme Manager (employer) and 3 Scheme Member (2 x current / retired / deferred employee and 1 x representative of the Fire Brigades’ Union) representatives.
