About
South Elmsall Station area covers the south east area of the Wakefield District which includes South Elmsall, North Elmsall, South Kirby, Upton, Badsworth and Thorpe Audlin. It serves a population of 25,446 and the area incorporates 10,615 dwellings. South Elmsall prides itself on its strong community and this is reinforced continually by engaging with and undertaking new initiatives with local partners. The team is made up of a station commander (who also manages Hemsworth) and 24 firefighters. The fire station was built in 1942 and borders with both South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
