Otley Fire Station covers the town of Otley and also the wider area of Menston, Weston and Askwith with a station area of approximately seven square miles. The station is managed by a station commander and is staffed by a full time local retained support officer and retained firefighters who operate the ‘on call’ retained duty system. There is a population of 19,255 and the area incorporates 8239 dwellings. The station has been in its current location since 1956 occupying a prominent position on Bondgate and borders with North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
