Morley Fire Station is located on Corporation Street and was built in 1961. The station protects a population of 57,677 people and covers the area of Morley and locations of Drighlington, Gildersome, Churwell, West and East Ardsley, Tingley, Woodkirk and New Farnley. There are 24,377 dwellings in the area. The station also covers an extremely busy part of the motorway network including stretches of the M62, M621 and M1 motorways. The station is staffed 24 hours a day and is made up of a station commander (who also manages Rothwell), 24 operational firefighters and one station clerk.
