About

Keighley Fire Station was built in 1964 and borders with both Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. Keighley has a population of 50,972 and the area incorporates 20,109 dwellings. The team is made up of a station commander (who also manages Silsden) and 48 firefighters.

The station continues to improve the service delivered to local communities by communicating and co- ordinating with key partners.  Training sessions have been introduced with partners and staff meet regularly with Neighbourhood Policing Teams.  These partners assist in identifying people most at risk and providing referrals.  Staff will continue to actively participate in local community safety projects and strive to reach the most vulnerable members of the community.
