About

Brighouse Fire Station, built in 1971, sits on the edge of town and allows interaction with members of the public. There are 14,651 dwellings in the area and a population of 34,112. The team is made up of a station commander (who also manages Elland), 24 operational firefighters and one station clerk.  Brighouse staff are driven to reduce the risks to the people of Brighouse and the surrounding Calderdale area.  Brighouse crews are also a specialised water rescue station and all staff are trained to support this role around the brigade.
