Ronald Walker

We have been informed of the death on 18th April of Mr Ronald Walker, nickname Rowdy Yates, age 73.  He served at Bramley in the early 1960s.

Mr Walkers funeral will be held at Cottingley Crematorium, Leeds at 14:20 on Friday 1st May 2015.


William Hey

We have been informed of the death on 11th April 2015 of former Firefighter 121 William Hey age 67.  Mr Hey joined the service in June 1966 and retired from Batley in June 1979.



Retirements and Leavers

 Stephen Shaw

Firefighter Stephen Shaw of Huddersfield Blue watch is retiring.

He would like to invite friends and colleagues past and present to celebrate with him at the King's Head (attached to Huddersfield train station) on Friday 1st May 2015 from 19:30hrs. All welcome.

 Andrew Oliver

After 30 years on Moortown White watch Firefighter Andy Oliver 2909 is retiring.

He will be having retirement drinks at Moortown Rugby Club on Friday May 8th from 7.30pm.  Partners and children are welcome.  Pie and Peas. No speeches.

Andy Carter

After 28 years Firefighter Andy Carter 3195 is retiring from Bradford Blue Watch. 

He would like to invite collegues past and present and partners to join him for farewell drinks, food and disco on Saturday 30th May from 7.30pm at Bantams Bar, Bradford City Football Club.
