The new Dewsbury station is now moving forward at a very fast pace due to the very mild weather in December 2014 and this continuing mild weather has allowed building work to progress to the extent that it is already a few weeks ahead of schedule.
The first picture shows the ground and first floor, which are now concreted, together with both staircases in position.
The culvert, shown in the second photograph, has now been covered over and is awaiting concrete to be poured over to provide additional protection.
The third image shows that construction has started on the boundary walls and the site is now being graded in readiness for the concrete turn out areas to be laid within the next few weeks.
Finally, the Young Firefighters building has had the concrete floor cast and brickwork started up to the damp proof course level.
The next few weeks, weather permitting, will see a massive move forward in terms of the main building block work.
