11 Maternity Leave – Temporary Cover
(This item was considered as exempt information under Schedule 12A (1) of the Local Government Act 1972 – information relating to an individual)
Consideration was given to a report of the Director of Human Resources which sought approval for the appointment of an interim Human Resources Manager to cover for a period of maternity leave.
Resolved
(i) That the Director of Human Resources be authorised to appoint an interim Human Resources Manager to cover for a period of maternity leave
using the following methods (in order of preference);
(a) by way of partnership arrangements /
econdment from partner organisations
(b) by public advertisement
(c) through the use of any agency
(ii) That a report be submitted to the December 2007 meeting of the Personnel and Training Committee advising of the success or otherwise of the use of partnership / secondment arrangements.
12 Management Board Pay Review
(This item was considered as exempt information under Schedule 12A (1) of the Local Government Act 1972 – information relating to an individual)
In accordance with the resolution of the Committee at its meeting on 27 July 2007 (Min no. 6 (i) Part B refers), Members considered a financial appraisal of the recommendations made by Deloitte with regard to Principal Officers’ pay.
Members further considered issues related to the 2007 Blue Book pay award together with post title references within the Management Board.
Resolved
(i) That approval be given to the amendments to the remuneration package of Management Board Members (detailed at Min no. 6 (i), Part B,
27 July 2007);
(ii) That the blue book pay award be paid to the Chief Finance Officer as
appropriate in addition to the amendments approved at (i) above (detailed
at Min no. 6 (i) (3), Part B, 27 July 2007); and
(iii) That no changes be made to the title of Chief Finance Officer.
