Meeting of the Executive Committee held on

18 Admission of the Public
There were no items which required the exclusion of the public and press.
19 Declarations
No disclosures of interest were declared in any
matter under consideration at the meeting.
20 Attendance at Remembrance Ceremonies, Ypres
Consideration was to a report of the Chief Fire Officer and Chief Executive which sought approval for attendance at the Remembrance Ceremonies in
Ypres, Belgium on 10 – 12 November 2007.
An invitation had been received for Principal
Officers and Members of the Authority to attend the ceremonies at which the West Yorkshire Fire and
Rescue Service band had the honour of being invited to play at a commemoration concert.
It was reported that the cost of attendance of two officers and the Chair of the Authority would be approximately £1540 which could be met from
within the revenue budget for conference expenses. The cost of the Band’s attendance would be met from their own fundraising efforts.
Resolved
(i) That approval be given to the attendance of the following at the Remembrance Ceremonies in Ypres, Belgium on 10 – 12 November 2007
• Deputy Chief Fire Officer
• Senior Fire Safety Officer
• Chair of the Authority
and,
(ii) That the cost of attendance at (i) above be met from within existing budgetary provision for conference expenses.
