MFC AIRTRACK

The Airtrack is an inflatable structure that provides a stable platform 10 metres x 1.3 metres for rescue and access applications on water, mudflats, sand or ice. It is capable of being rapidly deployed using 300 bar BA cylinders and a pressure regulator. On water it is completely self-supporting. Airtracks may be connected together either end-to-end or side-by-side to increase the useable length and width. There is no prescribed limit on the number of persons that may be on the

Airtrack at any one time as its buoyancy and rigidity, when correctly inflated, exceeds the physical capacity of bodies.

The Airtrack consists of three interconnected inflatable members. An upper walkway supported by two longitudinal pontoons permanently attached under its outer edges. The complete assembly is inflated to a pressure of 0.55 bar from a single point, relief valves are provided to prevent over-inflation. A 5 mm nylon mesh material provides a non-slip upper surface; grab lines are secured around all four edges. Two 20 metre securing lines are fitted in separate pouches at the outer end of the Airtrack. Flathooks and rings are fitted at the ends of the Airtrack to enable the connection of Airtracks one to the other.
