LIGHT ALLOY TELESCOPIC LADDER

There are two Light Alloy Telescopic Ladders on each Major Rescue Unit, and this bulletin outlines their operation, maintenance and safety procedures.

The telescopic ladder is versatile and robust in design, which allows it to be used in four different ways:-

Step Ladder
Staircase Ladder
Extension Ladder
Pair of Trestles

There are two ladders, one within the other, which allows the ladder to be telescopically adjusted. When the correct ladder position is achieved, the rounds locking bolts should be inserted before personnel use the ladder.
