The function of the Supplies Team is to provide a comprehensive purchasing and supplies administrative function to the Fire Authority, ensuring value for money whilst ensuring agreed levels of quality and minimum stock levels are maintained.
The team is also responsible for: -
- Liaising with Stores to ensure the efficient provision of service to all internal departments.
- Liaising with neighbouring Brigades and other agencies to develop collaborative purchasing arrangements.
- To Provide the Authority with written reports and recommendations on matters of procurement and the supply of goods.
