The Building Regulations Part B covers most building works and approval is required for the erection of new buildings and internal alterations of a structural nature that would affect fire safety for a house, shop or office.
Where it is proposed to erect a new building, to carry out building work or to make a material change of use, application should be made to your local building control authority or other approval body.
