DEWALT CORDLESS RECIPROCATING SAW MODEL DW008
The DeWalt DW008 saw is a cordless, battery powered electrical saw that is provided with a selection of blades. It may be used for the sawing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, wood, wood with metal inclusions, (eg nails and screws), and other fibrous materials. It may be used for the following purposes:-
Access to secure premises
Rescues in RTAs and similar incidents
Access behind and under panels, floorboards and other “soft” internal dividers in buildings
Cutting of tree branches, shrubbery, etc, for access purposes.
It is particularly suited to urgent, short duration operations as it is ready for immediate action but working time is limited by the battery capacity
The saw is a completely self-contained unit, powered from a 24-volt nickel cadmium (NiCd) battery pack that locks into the base of the handgrip. Two pre-set speed ranges are selected by a 3-position switch and the speed is steplessly variable between pre-set limits by the variable speed switch travel. No tools are required for battery pack changing, blade fitting and shoe adjustment. Blades may be fitted with the teeth facing up or down. A double insulated mains voltage battery charger that recharges the battery in one hour is supplied. It is only safe for indoor use. A storage slot for two spare 150 mm long blades is provided under the fore end of the saw.
