RESUSCITATION APPARATUS & ANALGESIC APPARATUS

Entonox - Analgesic Equipment

Analgesic Apparatus is widely available on the appliances in the Brigade. It uses a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen (Entonox), which will relieve pain without the numerous side effects of opiates such as morphine.

Medical Gases - Metrication

All medical gas cylinders belonging to British Oxygen Company Limited are now supplied in metric units with the nominal contents stencilled - in litres - on the cylinder neck. Cylinder sizes will continue to be identified by letter.
