Risk Reduction
Most fire casualties and deaths occur in the home and therefore identifying those most vulnerable to fire and providing information, education and where necessary additional protection measures will have an impact on reducing the risk of fires.
By working in partnership with key community contacts and agencies many of which deal with vulnerable people in society on a daily basis, referrals for Home Fire Safety Checks should be generated for those people in our communities most at risk to fire.
Dedicated risk reduction teams are in place throughout the county to access and engage with these people.
