15 pumps are still in attendance plus two aerial ladder platforms. Five ground monitors are in use. There has been a partial collapse of the tower which is on fire.

Crews are still fighting the fire.

Only employees have been evacuated at this stage.

Crews are still tackling the blaze. We have just received an informative message that all persons are accounted for. No injuries report at this stage.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to a fire at Ferrybridge C Power Station at 13:57 today (31/07/14).

Ten fire engines are currently in attendance, which includes firfighters from the surrounding stations of Pontefract, Normanton, Featherstone, Castleford and Wakefield.

The third floor of a four-storey building is involved in fire (25%). Firefighters are currently using two ground monitors and one aerial to tackle the fire.

A number of members of the public have called our control room due to the plumes of smoke which can be seen in the surrounding area.

Appliances from Pontefract, Castleford, Featherstone, Normanton, Rothwell, Garforth, Wakefield, Hunslet x 2, South Elmsall, Morley, Gipton, Dewsbury, Leeds and one from South Yorkshire. Aerial ladder platforms from Leeds, Halifax and Wakefield
