Flaming Charity
Flaming Charity began over 10 years ago, the event was originally started to raise funds for the FSNBF and also as a social event for current and retired members of the Fire Service to meet up and have an enjoyable evening.
Our first event was attended by an audience of just over 50, but has grown to many hundreds who support our event each year.
Our small committee work tirelessly throughout the year to help make the professional show we now have in place.
We would estimate that we have raised nearly £50,000 for the fund.

Summer Gala
The Annual Summer Gala is held in conjunction with the Birkenshaw Village Association (BVA). Members of the BVA are members of the gala committee.
The event is held annually during July of each year.
In 2005, the gala raised £3,061.43 for the Fire Services' Benevolent Fund.
In 2006, the gala raised money for the Fire Services' National Benevolent Fund and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. £1,300 to the Benevolent Fund and £1,200 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
A total of £10,000 was raised for national and local charities at the Summer Gala held on Saturday 8 July 2007.
More than 6,000 people flocked through the gates at headquarters. The gala really does get bigger and better every year and we are delighted to attract more visitors than ever before and raise even more cash for the charities.
Record numbers turned out to the Gala on Saturday 12 July 2008.
The Firefighters Charity and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance shared £5200, the remainder went to a number of local charities which attended on the day.
Visitors enjoyed more than 150 attractions particularly the James Bond helicopter, the West Yorkshire Police Dogs and the Urban Search and Rescue Team.
Next year’s gala is planned for Saturday 11 July 2009.
