Chief Fire Officer / Chief Executive Simon Pilling, MA MSc

CFO Pilling has overall responsibility for delivery of the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and its mission to reduce death, injury and property loss due to fire and other emergencies.
Deputy Chief Fire Officer Steve Beckley
Director of Operations
DCFO Beckley is responsible for all the county's front-line fire stations and the central Mobilising and Communications Centre.
The directorate has two principal areas of responsibility:
Mr Beckley also oversees important local projects which require inter-agency collaboration such as development of the new regional control centre.

Director of Corporate Resources
Mr Barnes is the Solicitor to the Authority and also holds several statutory offices as Monitoring Officer, Proper Officer and Clerk to the Authority. In addition to personal responsibility for corporate governance ethics and legal affairs he has the following Corporate Management supervisory responsibilities:

Director of Fire Safety and Community Relations
ACO McIntosh is responsible for delivery of all Fire Safety Services, including Legislative and Enforcement matters and the Community Fire Safety Programme.
District fire safety offices are located in Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax and Wakefield which deal with all matters relating to fire safety in the workplace. The Community Fire Safety department is located at Bradford with risk reduction teams working in areas across the County.

ACO Redfearn is responsible for the development and delivery of all personnel development and management issues and oversees:

Chief Finance Officer
Mr Maren is the Statutory Finance Officer responsible for the administration of the financial affairs of the Authority as required under the Local Government Act 1985.
Services provided by the Finance Department include:
